Didn’t Begin with a Business Plan
This journey did not begin with a business plan. It began with a desire to care for women in a way that felt more personal, more thoughtful, and more complete.
As my experience in skincare grew, I began to see how many women were quietly navigating hair thinning, scalp concerns, and changes in their skin. That led me to study Trichology, the science of hair and scalp health, and expand my work into a more comprehensive approach to restorative care.
I’m Misty, the founder of Skin + Halo and the hands behind every treatment. I am a Board Certified Trichologist, licensed esthetician, certified head spa specialist, and Certified Korean Clinical Skincare Specialist with a focus on hair loss, scalp health, and restorative skin treatments.
My training includes both traditional Japanese Head Spa and Korean scalp wellness methodologies. I have trained directly under Master Tatsuya Yamasaki, the pioneer of Japanese Head Spa in Japan, and completed advanced Korean head spa training under Seol He, founder of Hyggee Spa in Korea. I am proud to be the only practitioner in Michigan certified in both the traditional YUME Japanese Head Spa method the ZUDO method, and the HYGGEE method.
As someone who genuinely loves receiving treatments myself, I always found it frustrating how rushed, clinical, and impersonal many experiences felt. I wanted to create something different. A space I would personally want to visit. Every detail of Skin + Halo was built with care to create an experience where women feel held, not handled.
