Women 18+ with a scalp! Whether you have scalp-related challenges or you’re just looking for relaxing self-care time, these experiences are tailored to your specific needs.

We cannot accommodate guests with dreads, locs, braids or extensions as we need full access to the scalp.

What should I wear to my Head Spa appointment?

For maximum comfort, you will have the option to change into a plush spa wrap if you’ve booked the Eighth Wonder, Cloud Nine, or Skin + Halo Glow experiences. Our spa wraps are available in all sizes and designed to accommodate all body types, ensuring every guest feels comfortable and at ease. These treatments take place on our cozy, heated treatment table, complete with a warm blanket to enhance your relaxation.

If you’ve booked the Celestial Sixty or Seventh Heaven treatments, we kindly ask that you avoid wearing a hoodie, as these are express services focused solely on the scalp. A spa wrap will not be provided for these treatments, as they do not include additional massage beyond the scalp.

For guests receiving the Eighth Wonder, Cloud Nine, or Skin + Halo Glow experiences, we kindly ask that you remove all jewelry to ensure you receive the full benefits of the massages included in these treatments. However, if you are booked for the Celestial Sixty or Seventh Heaven, you are welcome to keep your jewelry on.

Will I be in a private room while getting my Head Spa treatment?

Yes, our studio is designed as a private, intimate space with two private suites, each dedicated to one-on-one experiences for your ultimate comfort and relaxation. We do not accommodate accompanying guests or children, so we kindly ask that you arrive alone to fully enjoy your self-care experience.

Will I leave with wet hair?

Yes, you will leave with towel-dried hair after your treatment. We provide a gentle yet thorough towel dry to remove excess moisture, followed by a quick scalp blast dry for added comfort.

Should I wash my hair prior to my Head Spa treatment?

Accepted Answer

No, it is not necessary to wash your hair before your appointment. In fact, the dirtier your hair is, the better, as it allows us to get a more accurate reading during your scalp analysis with our scalp scope.

We do, however, ask that you arrive with untangled hair to ensure a smooth and effective treatment experience.

Can I Receive a Head Spa Treatment If I Have Extensions, Braids, Locs, or a Sew-In?

Unfortunately, we are unable to perform head spa treatments on clients with extensions, braids, locs, or sew-in weaves, as these styles obstruct access to the scalp and pores. To ensure you receive the full benefits of our treatments, we require direct access to the scalp for cleansing, exfoliation, and massage.

If you’re considering a head spa treatment, we recommend scheduling it before getting extensions or other protective styles.

How often can you do a Head Spa Treatment?

The ideal frequency for head spa treatments depends on your scalp condition and hair care goals. For general maintenance and relaxation, we recommend a session every 4 to 6 weeks.

If you’re addressing scalp concerns such as buildup, dryness, or excessive oil production, more frequent treatments—every 2 to 3 weeks—may be beneficial until balance is restored.

During your appointment, we will assess your scalp and provide a personalized recommendation based on your specific needs.

Who can book services at Skin + Halo?

Skin + Halo is a women-only space, thoughtfully designed for adult women seeking luxury self-care. At this time, we only provide services for clients who identify as women and are 18 years of age or older. We do not offer services for teens, children, or men.

You will have the option to change into a comfortable spa wrap before settling into our cozy treatment table that includes a heating mat and warm blankets to keep you comfortable throughout your treatment. We provide cozy socks if desired.
